We’ve started as we mean to go on here at STÓR, with an emphasis on quality, artisanal pieces that tread lightly on the planet and last for generations to come. See some of the care and attention we’ve put into every detail, from our sourcing to materials and put a face to the farmers and master perfumers who have hand-made our debut collection.

Our Chosen Makers
At STÓR we have taken great care and consideration when choosing our makers and collaborators, always opting for small batch producers that hand-make wherever possible. From hand-poured candles to hand-knit blankets, discover more about the people and ideas behind STÓR on our Our Story page.
Our wool
Traceable back to the flock, our Irish wool from Ériu is of the best quality. Dedication to sustainability from fair wages to packaging is guaranteed thanks to these small independent businesses’ ethos and actions. Spun locally, for a low carbon supply chain, this soon will all be done on-site as work is underway on their very own woollen mill.
The cashmere is sourced from the Gobi desert by Todd & Duncan and produced with care and respect for Loch Leven, whose water it uses and returns cleaned — to make sure the brown trout, pink-footed geese and 35,000 wintering birds can thrive. Wool is naturally anti-bacterial, hypo-allergenic, and temperature regulating, as well as being renewable and compostable.
Considered materials
Our linen
Emblem Linen uses traditional production methods on a small scale. This fabric is considered particularly eco-friendly as it requires very little water, is long lasting and is completely natural.
Our wax
A superior blend of soy, bee and rapeseed wax. It is 100% natural and paraffin-free. Each wick is made from 100% cotton. Renewable and biodegradable, natural bees wax, soy wax and rapeseed wax emit substantially less soot compared to toxin-filled paraffin.
Our fragrance oils
Each candle uses responsibly sourced ingredients with a high fragrance dosage across all creations. Despite the low yields involved in pure fragrance oil production, these plants help greatly with flora diversity and pollination.
Care in every detail
Labeling & Packaging
All our packaging is recyclable and responsibly sourced. We’ve hand-selected our Irish printing and packaging partners for their commitment to sustainability from the papers to inks used. Our blanket labels are 100% cotton sourced from the most responsible company we could find, sourced from the UK.
Longevity
Designed from the outset as items to hand down for generations. All our blankets come with an Irish linen storage bag to protect the yarn for years to come. We aim to inform our community on best care, from mending to cleaning, to ensure each piece lives a long life, far from landfill.
Transparency
We know our customers are as interested in every step it takes in creating our small-batch products as we are, so we’ve laid out each step of the process for each item in a handy downloadable PDF. It might not all be perfect, but we believe honesty is the best policy.
